Mark Zuckerberg, one of the wealthiest people in the world, has recently decided to pursue other interests. His recent interest in Jiu-Jitsu has proven beneficial for the Tech Tycoon. Zuckerberg has recently received criticism for deciding to speak on the integrity one needs to have to pursue Jiu-Jitsu. This is due to the fact that Mark Zuckerberg sold the public’s private information to third parties for money.

Mark Zuckerberg received significant backlash after being sued by many parties for selling Facebook users’ data to third parties in order to defeat rival competitors. Most of the public has lost trust and faith in the Facebook founder ever since. Mark Zuckerberg’s recent stint with Jiu-Jitsu has made him fall in love with the sport, and he has repeatedly emphasized what the sport can do for an individual’s personal growth.

Zuckerberg, in the month of May this year, managed to win medals for the Guerrilla Jiu Jutsu Academy in the sport of BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jutsu). Zuckerberg added winning a BJJ tournament to his accomplishments after the Silicon Valley High School tournament.

In a recent tweet by ESPN MMA, a quote made by Mark Zuckerberg on Lex Friedman Podcast was posted. Zuckerberg states, “(You) have to be willing just to get beaten up a lot“. Such statements by Zuckerberg don’t seem to have impressed most of the users on Twitter, considering who’s behind the quote and the fact that no one gets beaten up in BJJ. One fan sums it up by stating that “he should just stick to selling people’s information“.

Zuckerberg has tried changing his image in the media by attending podcasts and promoting various activities and their fan bases. But none of these efforts seem to do much for the CEO. These responses by fans might seem harsh to many. But we must consider the person making such motivational quotes. The irony of such acts makes the entire purpose behind such statements redundant.

Mark Zuckerberg’s recent interest in and growth in the sport of Jiu-Jitsu has proven fruitful. The ‘Meta’ head has also shown his abilities in MMA by recently winning matches against respectable opponents in Jiu-Jitsu. He has also appeared on several podcasts, like the Joe Rogan Experience, and spoken about his love for the sport and what it does for him and his personal life.

Fans seem to appreciate the efforts of Zuckerberg and his promotion of MMA using his platform. But many fans are still upset by his actions in the past and choose to trash him online whenever the opportunity comes up. Check out some of the fans’ reactions:

Although the fans’ reactions to Zuckerberg giving life advice are justified, the quote is accurate for the most part. Mark Zuckerberg can try and pursue other hobbies to kill time or fulfill his passion for the sport, but he cannot expect the public to be on his side after his actions in the past. He is one of the many celebrities who turned to the negative path to maintain their success and greed. Such choices have consequences.
