MMA is one of the most brutal sports in the world. Over the years, MMA fighters have dealt with harsh injuries throughout their careers. Many fighters have their limbs broken during their fights. Conor McGregor, Chris Weidman, and Anderson Silva are a few who have had to deal with broken legs.
A recent video has gone viral on social media. In the video, a fighter is seen breaking his leg at a live MMA event. Fans were deeply appalled after seeing the video of the man. He broke his leg when he was slammed to the ground by his opponent. When Chris Weidman, Anderson Silva, and Conor McGregor broke their feet during their respective fights, the fans went silent. Social media’s response was similar this time too.
McGregor is the latest addition to the fighters whose legs have been broken. The unfortunate injury happened during his third fight with Dustin Poirier. Weidman broke his foot when fighting Uriah Hall in a rematch and Silva broke his leg in his second bout with Chris Weidman.
Fighters have recovered from horrific injuries, but they have not been the same. Anderson Silva was not the same after the injury. He recently stepped into the boxing ring with Jake Paul and was defeated. Weidman’s return at UFC 292 to face Brad Tavares was an awful fight, and he broke his foot again. McGregor is yet to face Michael Chandler.
Fans react to the video of the fighter breaking his leg when slammed to the floor

The fight fans’ reaction to the video was empathetic. Some fans were scared to see the video, while others prayed for the fighter’s recovery. The fighter who slammed him was also seen apologizing to the downed fighter. Moreover, some had memories of Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman, and Conor McGregor.
Furthermore, the horrific injury would most likely require a steel rod inserted inside the body of the fighter to join broken bones. McGregor, Silva, and Weidman all have a steel rod attached to their shin bones. Moreover, McGregor has recovered faster than others, which could be substantial evidence against the alleged steroid usage.
