Mixed martial arts is an injury-prone sport. And some injuries are worse than others. One such vicious injury from ONE Championship had fans gasping on the internet. Here is what happened:
Jo Nattawut delivered a brutal performance in his third match in the ONE Championship, Asia’s biggest promotion. The thrilling bout left spectators in awe. Nattawut’s Muay Thai onslaught against George Mann left the commentator saying: “Oh, he’s got a second head.” The right side of Mann’s head was heavily swollen. Mann suffered a severe hematoma. This happens when an injury causes blood to collect and pool under the skin.
Nattawut showcased the raw and powerful nature of the Muay Thai in this fight. He dominated the octagon and provided fans with an entertaining spectacle, though at Mann’s expense. Meanwhile, George Mann did have his moments throughout the bout when he caught some of Nattawut’s kicks. He even managed to drop Jo Nattawut in the first round. However, a minute into the third round, Jo Nattawut released a flurry of punches, and it was just downhill from there for Mann. The fight was from the ‘ONE: Heart of Lion’ card in November 2018.
George Mann is a 22-year-old Scottish MMA fighter fighting out of Perth, Australia. There is not much record of Mann’s MMA ventures. He faced a significant setback in his career in this bout against Nattawut. After the fight, George had another fight in ONE against Sorgraw Petchyindee in 2019. He lost that fight.
