Mike Perry is one of the biggest fan-favorite fighters on the UFC roster. Despite his release from the promotion, Mike’s following has barely decreased. Fight fans still follow Mike for his social media posts and his hilarious interviews with other organizations.
The fighter was always notorious for joking about anyone and anything. Let’s revisit the time when Perry took over MMA internet with his hilarious video where he announced his results from the DNA tests. This is not the only time Perry has gotten into trouble, the fighter was also put on blast for making fun of the native people in America in a video.

In an infamous video of “Platinum Perry”, the fighter used the N-Word repeatedly while punching an old man in 2020. After the video caught a lot of heat, Perry doubled down with another video of his own where he explained the usage of the N-Word. “Okay I wanna explain that, I took a DNA test and the results came back French and German, British and Irish, and I was 2 percent African,” said Platinum Perry in the video.
He could have stopped right there and he wouldn’t have been put on blast, however, Mike Perry being Mike Perry went full board with his video and ended the video by saying, “So I’m legally allowed to say the word Ni***.” Perry was then put on blast for his nonchalant use of the N-word multiple times and Mike was then forced to apologize, which he in fact did.
“I know some won’t care but some might appreciate this. This is for my son and me as a son to be different than my father. Also black history month I would like to apologize for any time I ever said n***a , plain and simple you won’t hear it from me anymore,” wrote Mike in a tweet of his in 2021.
Mike was released from the UFC in the year 2021. The fan-favorite joined the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and has been doing very well for himself over there. The fighter is also going to fight Bellator MMA fighter Michael Venom Page in his upcoming bout.
