Twitter CEO Elon Musk challenged Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to a cage fight in his recent tweet. Elon Musk has a carefree attitude on social media and posts some of the funniest memes on Twitter. His tweets entertain his followers every time, and this time around, Musk wanted to take things inside the octagon with Mark Zuckerberg.
Elon Musk’s sudden desire to fight Zuckerberg stems from the news of META trying to rival Musk’s recently acquired Twitter. According to a recent interview, META’s CPO, Chris Cox, referred to an app called THREADS that would be META’s response to Twitter. He added that ‘THREADS’ would be a sanely run platform compared to Twitter since its acquisition by Musk. Elon Musk reacted to this news and shared a tweet taking digs at Zuckerberg. “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options. At least it will be “sane.” Was worried for a moment there,” tweeted Musk.
A follower suggested that Elon avoid Zuckerberg as the META CEO actively practices Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. Elon, however, did not care and suggested settling things inside the cage. “ I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” tweeted Elon. During his appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Musk stated that he trained in various martial arts when he was a boy.
However, Musk will have a hard time fending off Mark Zuckerberg. The META CEO has won a gold and silver medal in a Jiu-Jitsu tournament and is a huge martial arts fan. Recently, he trained with BJJ champions and proved his worth as a combat fighter. Regardless, Musk has a history of challenging public figures for a fight. So, a bout between two multi-billionaires will probably not take place.
Mark Zuckerberg trains with ONE BJJ champion Mikey Musumeci

Meta CEO and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has trained in BJJ and martial arts for quite some time. Since last year Zuckerberg competed in a few BJJ tournaments. He also won gold and silver in his first Jiu-Jitsu tournament. Zuckerberg is continuing his journey in BJJ by training with one of the most accomplished BJJ champions.
Zuckerberg trained in MMA and BJJ with 26-year-old Mikey Musumeci. Musumeci is the current ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion. The New Jersey native is a four-time IBJJF gi world champion and one-time no-gi world champion. He recently submitted IBJJF no-gi champion Osamah Almarwai during his bout at ONE Fight Night 10. Zuckerberg did some light sparring with Musumeci and also rolled with the world champion.
The Meta CEO posted a video of his training with Mikey on his social media accounts. “Great learning from jiu-jitsu legend Mikey Musumeci..and starting to prepare for our MMA debuts,” posted Zuckerberg. Mark’s post hints at a possible MMA debut, which is highly probable given his recent interest in the sport. However, Musumeci has indicated an interest in switching to MMA and has started training with UFC fighters.
