Joe Rogan‘s podcast is one of the most popular on Spotify, and it’s easy to see why. The comedian has told some wild stories on his podcast, but one of the weirdest was when he shared a story about training a hitman. In a bizarre incident, Rogan revealed that he once trained a man who was a hitman for the Irish mob boss, Whitey Bulger.
At the time, Joe Rogan was only 19 years old and had recently graduated from high school. Rogan was also completely dedicated to fighting. Furthermore, he knew many people from the Irish mob, and one of them was the brother of a comedian. Another person that Rogan could recall was a guy who worked as a hitman for Bulger. In recalling the hitman on JRE, he stated:
A guy who used to come to the gym. Who 99% sure went to jail for murder.
Additionally, Rogan recalls that the hitman would directly ask Rogan where to hit a man to kill him.
Subsequently, Rogan would tell him that the neck was a spot that would require multiple shots to kill someone. During that time Rogan was living with his parents while traveling across the country to fight in various places and tournaments.
Joe Rogan shares a story of a fake BJJ black belt who committed murder
Rogan has achieved immense popularity as the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” a long-form interview-style podcast. Similarly, in an episode of the JRE podcast, Rogan once shared a story of meeting a fake BJJ black belt.
As such, Rogan revealed that the man eventually went to jail for choking a man to death at a BJJ school. All this transpired because the fake BJJ black belt was having an affair with another man’s wife and wanted him out of the picture. Therefore, he invited the man to his BJJ school and in the course choked him to death. Later, the fake BJJ black belt drove around the victim’s car for days. Eventually, he was arrested and sent to jail.
Rogan also revealed that Eddie Bravo once tested the man’s jujutsu and identified that he wasn’t a black belt. After confronting the man and sending him away, Rogan later heard of him years later, when he was arrested for murder.
