Kayla Harrison fights Aspen Ladd in PFL this weekend. Ahead of it, she gave her thoughts about a possible fight with Cris Cyborg. Cyborg is the reigning featherweight champion in the Bellator. The two have been teasing a matchup, but couldn’t make it happen due to different promotions. With PFL’s recent acquisition of Bellator, the possibility of Harrison vs. Cyborg has dramatically increased. Even, PFL founder Donn Davis was interested in this matchup.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour show, Kayla Harrison said that she was so worn off talking about Cris Cyborg. She kept her focus on her upcoming fight and cared less about the Cyborg matchup since it didn’t materialize after multiple attempts. However, she stated that the fight was closer than ever and she would do whatever was in her capacity to make it happen.

I just get so tired of talking about her Ariel...It feels closer than ever. It feels closer than ever and that's why I'm not gonna jinx it. I'm not gonna talk about it, I'm not gonna think about it. I'm just gonna focus on Friday. Do everything I have to do to set up that. Awesome event! But until then, not gonna think about it.
