“Doesn’t feel like I’ve had a 5 rounds”- Michael Page downplays Logan Storyley’s title win against him

Michael Page vs Logan Storley

Michael Page went against Logan Storley at Bellator 281 for the interim Welterweight title on May 13th, hoping he will become the new interim welterweight champion in Bellator. However, the fight ended with a controversial decision and has created a debate among fans across the world.

Page has been one of the best fighters in the Bellator and has been fighting in Bellator since 2013. His fight against Logan Storley was the main event at Bellator 281, and everyone expected the fight to be an explosive bout. However, the fight was not as thrilling as expected by the fans and even Michael Page agrees with that.

Page went into his first title fight in his MMA career after winning a close split decision call against three-time welterweight champion Douglas Lima in October 2021. Page and Storley fought for 25 minutes and Storley used his wrestling for the duration of five rounds to win a split decision over Michael Page. The judges scored the fight 48-47, 47-48, 49-46 in the favor of Logan Storley.

Page criticized Logan for his strategy, and he demanded an immediate rematch against the champ. Talking to MMA Junkie, he said, “I’m a very petty person. He’s won but not in any kind of spectacular fashion. I’ve legit had harder spars. The reason I say it that way is because physically I don’t have a bruise, I don’t have a sore, I don’t have an ache. Anything.”

He added, “It doesn’t even feel like I’ve had a five-round fight. That’s probably the most frustrating thing about it, is losing in a way where I know for a fact I could go into a fight this weekend and feel fine and be good to go. I know he couldn’t say the same. I want to get it back. I’m going to be pushing, working, putting on more fights until I’m able to get back to that position.”
