UFC legend, Mark Coleman recently made the headlines for saving his parents from a housefire. However, he was seriously injured and battled for life in the hospital. Now, within a week of recovery, the former UFC fighter returned to the gym. This news shocked the fighting world.
In his recent post on Instagram, Coleman released a video of him standing inside an octagon. This announced his return to the gym. He thanked everyone and promised to take his workouts slow. The former UFC champion stated he just wanted to get back into routine. In the video, ‘The Hammer’ boldly said “I never left (the gym)…” and then joked “Well, for a second”. This proved the mental tenacity of Coleman.
Mark Coleman looked healthy and in high spirits in the video. Given he even joked about missing the gym due to the catastrophic incident. Well, what happened? The 59-year-old’s house was on fire when he woke up in the middle of the night. He quickly acted in caution and rescued his old parents from the house. He then returned to the burning house to safeguard his pet dog. Unfortunately, he fell unconscious. Surprisingly, it was the dog’s barks that alerted Coleman of the fire in the first place. However, the dog couldn’t make it out of the fire. Coleman posted a heartfelt tribute to his beloved dog on his Instagram.
After the firefighters rescued him, he battled for life in a hospital bed. He then regained consciousness and had a heartfelt moment with his daughters. Now, it was a relief for the fight fans to see the former fighter (well he is still a fighter) healthy and happy.

Mark Coleman was one of the pioneer wrestlers who dominated MMA in his time. Recently, he showcased the bravery of the MMA fighters, not in a cage but in real life. ‘The Hammer’ acted selflessly and didn’t hesitate to put his life on the line.
After gaining consciousness, Mark Coleman left the hospital recently. This courageous discipline from the former heavyweight champion garnered a lot of reaction on X.
