Martial arts competitions are very dangerous. Many have died whilst competing in combat sports. Moreover, many have died due to issues suffered due to injuries sustained from fighting. Recently, a video of an International Karate tournament match went viral on social media due to a scary knockout.
The fight in the Karate tournament was between a fighter from Azerbaijan and another fighter from Armenia. The Armenian fighter wore blue gloves, whereas the Azerbaijani fighter wore red gloves. When the referee started the fight, the fighter from Azerbaijani pressured the Armenian fighter with kicks. However, the Armenian fighter countered with a quick one-two, rendering his opponent unconscious.
The referee then proceeded to give the count to the fallen fighter. However, he did not get up. The medical team stepped in and could not even wake up the fighter. They proceeded to take the Azerbaijani fighter on the stretcher. There was visible distress on the face of the Armenian fighter.

The brutal knockout of an Azerbaijani fighter by an Armenian fighter spread like wildfire on social media. Like the people in the audience at the event, Netizens also had the same reaction of fear.
Some found the Azerbaijani fighter to have a weak chin whilst others found the Armenian to be too strong for the Azerbaijani. Nevertheless, see how the netizens on social media reacted to the video below.
Seeing something like this happen in a Karate tournament was a surprise for many. Even in the UFC, something like this never happened. Bryce Mitchell and Tony Ferguson suffered brutal KO losses and were unresponsive for some time, but they gathered their wits afterward. The viral Karate fight video showed the risks that martial arts competitors take before they engage in combat.
