Street fights have been very rampant in recent times. One of the main reasons for this is the growth of combat sports, particularly the UFC. More often than not, youth engage in street fights for all the wrong reasons. However, on rare occasions, youth engage in street fights to stand up to bullies or protect their loved ones.

One such video went viral on social media lately. In the video, a young man defended his friend from an unfair street fight. The fight began with an altercation between a youth and two young men who appeared to speak an Eastern European language. As expected, the two youths ganged up to attack the other youth. One of them grabbed a hold of the youth, and the other proceeded to knee him.

Nonetheless, it did not last long as another youth came from nowhere to save his friend. He went on to separate the youth who knee from the others. This made the youth who kneed furious as he went to land a kick on his new opponent. However, his opponent caught the kick and tripped him with a high-level wrestling move. The video of the fight ended after the trip.

In the UFC, Henry Cejudo and Daniel Cormier have employed the technique to full effect. Interestingly, Cejudo got a taste of his own medicine in his recent fight with Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 298. The trip from a high crotch is an effective technique, but elite fighters have found ways to defend it by balancing on one foot.
