Mark Calaway recently came on Joe Rogan‘s podcast in January of this year. The comedian hosts a podcast exclusively on Spotify by the name of The Joe Rogan Experience. The podcast earlier used to stream on Youtube. The comedian is a well-known media personality and used to host a show known as ‘The fear Factor’.

He is also one of the most prominent figures in the MMA community. The former Fear Factor host also currently calls PPV fights for the UFC. Along with doing podcasts, he also does standup comedy and has specials on Netflix.

On the other hand, Calaway is a retired WWE legend who reigned in the pro wrestling world for over three decades. After debuting in the 1990s Survivor Series. The Deadman became a terrifying phenom in the WWE. He’s a multi-time WWE and World Heavyweight Champion and has one of the most impressive resumes. After retiring ar Survivor Series 2020 the Deadman is enjoying his retirement life. The WWE inducted Calaway into the WWE’s 2022 Hall of Fame earlier this year.

After retiring from wrestling, Calaway was recently featured on the JRE in the #1598 episode with the host Rogan. Calaway and The comedian talked about a lot of things including the pro wrestling world. Calaway’s debut story in the pro wrestling world. The Deadman also shared the origins of his character on WWE.

Calaway shared about his initial days in the pro-wrestling world. He used to work in WCW for about 8 -9 months. After his contract expiration, he was told, “You’re a great athlete kid, but no one will ever pay to watch you wrestle.” He further told about how he met the WWE’s chairman Vince McMahon in his home in Connecticut.

The Deadman further told how initially he didn’t get the job. But later McMahon called him to introduce to him his new character. Calaway debuted in the WWE in November 1990 at Survivor Series.

Calaway was introduced as The Undertaker which was an instant hit among WWE fans. The Deadman defined an era of new WWE fighters and launched WWE into one of the biggest promotions the pro wrestling world has ever seen.
