Tito Ortiz has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The UFC promoted Ortiz for his accomplishments for the first time in this retirement bout, rather than using him as a stepping stone for younger opponents. Worse, it’s been years since he’s faced a well-known opponent like Griffin.

Police verified to TMZ Sports that they were investigating a burglary at Ortiz’s home in Huntington Beach, California. Officers responded to a complaint on Friday morning after an alleged theft, according to a Huntington Beach Police Department representative.

Ortiz was not at home at the time, according to the report, and no information on what was taken from the house has been revealed. In December 2019, he won an MMA battle against Alberto Rodriguez, also known as former WWE wrestler Alberto Del Rio, which was his last MMA win at a Combate Americas event. His overall record is 21-12-1.

After his loss against Anderson Silva, the 47-year-old grappler stated that he intends to stay focused on the ring. Despite all the hassle he has in his life, he is a pioneer of the sport who deserves a well-earned retirement and one can only hope that he stops competing at this age as it’s not ideal for him and his recent performances substantiate that assertion.
