Shields champions the right-wing and rages an online war against wokeness and left-wing agendas. Jake Shields is a former world champion and has defeated elite fighters like Dan Henderson and Tyron Woodley in his MMA career.
Recently, Shields talked about the monetary benefits he achieved through Elon Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter). He wrote, “I made more last month shitposting on Twitter than some people do working full time. I’m not sure how to feel about this.” Unlike the previous regime of Twitter, Elon Musk has opened the platform to receive monetary benefits for the account’s contribution. However, the account must purchase the verified tick mark to attain financial benefits.
Shields is not afraid to speak his mind about various topics. He landed in trouble for mocking George Floyd on the death of his anniversary. Shields has also criticized the transgender movement and ridiculed Eliott Page in the past. Shields would have gotten banned during the old X (Twitter) platform regime. However, Musk is not as harsh when it comes to the words being used on the platform.
Shields still has much pull in the combat sports world. He has a brotherly relationship with the Diaz brothers. He is also a revered veteran of the BJJ community. Shields has gained popularity in his retirement days due to his social commentary. He is more popular now than he was when he competed as an MMA fighter.
Former champion Jake Shields takes another shot at George Floyd
The death of George Floyd shook the world in 2020. It led to numerous BLM riots that became the major headlines of the Covid ridden year. Shields has attacked Floyd on numerous occasions and has shown no remorse.
He once again took a shot at Floyd on Twitter. Shields wrote, “George Floyd was a scumbag drug addict who beat and robbed a pregnant woman. It should not be controversial to mock, ridicule and laugh at him.” Rumors suggested that Floyd was a criminal who had serious problems with drugs.
There are also reports that he allegedly held a pregnant woman at gunpoint. Shields has used this narrative multiple times to attack Floyd on social media. Shields has made it clear that he will not support left-wing agenda and will attack them from all fronts. Their support of Floyd has made Shields mock Floyd on social media.
