“We offered Francis a deal which would’ve made him the highest-paid fighter in the history of UFC…but he declined it”, Dana White said in the press conference of UFC Vegas 67. Dana White mentioned how Francis Ngannou was at a place where he didn’t want to take a lot of risks and wanted to take it easy.
When asked about Francis‘ interest in wanting to box, Dana White replied by saying, “There is no place for boxing “. He continues by saying that Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou was the fight to be made, but Francis didn’t want any of it while on the contrary Jon Jones was confident he could beat anyone. With UFC now no longer having any rights to match Ngannou’s fights, he is available in the market as a free agent. Bellator MMA and PFL have already sparked interest in signing him.

Francis Ngannou’s phenomenal career at UFC
“The Predator” fought a total of 14 fights for UFC winning 12 of them and losing 2. Ngannou is on a 6 fight win streak currently while being the champion, but he started getting hate for holding up the whole division by defending his title only once.
Ngannou got his revenge and the belt when he beat Stipe Miocic via 2nd round TKO and defended it against Ciryl Gane via decision at UFC 270. Since then he has not been seen in the octagon, but it is unfair to say that his fights weren’t memorable. Ngannou was climbing the ladder quickly by knocking out his opponents in the first or second round.
Francis Ngannou has immense knockout power within him, so whichever organization he goes he gets paid well and brings in the viewers for them. Every fight fan would love to see Ngannou knocking out the living daylights of a fighter, so they will watch him wherever he goes.
