“I was almost going broke,” Rachael Ostovich compares her pay in BKFC to the time she was fighting in the UFC

Rachael Ostovich did not have the best of lives fighting in the UFC and other MMA organizations.
Former UFC women’s flyweight fighter Rachael Ostovich was having a hard time getting paid a decent amount of money to run her life. The fighter is relieved after moving to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in 2021. Rachael had a record of 4-6 in MMA before she moved to the BKFC.
Rachael kicked off her career in the BKFC in solid fashion as she avenged her loss to another former UFC star Paige VanZant at BKFC 19. Rachael and Paige met each other for the first time inside the UFC octagon in 2019 where she lost via submission. But Ostovich won in the rematch in a different organization under different rules.
In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Ostovich spoke about the pay issue in UFC and other MMA organizations. Despite not being paid, she has her doors open for a future bout in MMA. “I would return to MMA, just right now BKFC is really hot right now and they pay me really good so that’s where I lie,” said Ostovich talking to MMA Junkie Radio.
Rachael Ostovich has some interesting offer from MMA
Rachael’s run in MMA has not been the best with more losses than wins. However, Rachael Ostovich is not eliminating the chance to change those numbers in the near future. Rachael is looking to juggle both BKFC and MMA side by side. A right offer in the paycheck could make Ostovich return to mixed martial arts.
“I’m still down for MMA and there have been offers from MMA, but at this point, I’m kinda just waiting to see what makes the most money here so that’s where I’m at. They both have their pros and cons, so it really is just money talks for me right now,” said Rachael in her interview.
