Mohamed Salah claps back at Jamie Carragher following latter’s ‘selfish’ claims
Mohamed Salah clapped back at former club star and football pundit Jamie Carragher after the latter called him selfish.

Mohamed Salah has undoubtedly remained the best player for Liverpool in the past few seasons. The Egyptian winger successfully helped his side claim a 2-0 win over defending Premier League champions Manchester City. Thus, they have establish a nine-point lead at the top.
For his efforts, the 32-year-old was also named as the Player Of The Match. In the post-match interview, club captain Virgil van Dijk joined Salah to talk about the match. He made no effort to conceal the ongoing ‘tension’ between him and the former club defender.
In response to Van Dijk’s question as to why Jamie Carragher didn’t hand him the award, Salah stated that he wouldn’t be interested in doing so.

The former Liverpool star and football pundit previously called out Salah for his ‘selfish’ act. The retired player claimed that the winger shouldn’t have spoken about his contract situation. Carragher also added fuel to the fire as he claimed that Virgil van Dijk deserved the POTM over Salah.

Following the emphatic win over Manchester City, Mohamed Salah didn’t hold back from speaking about his contract situation. The general understanding from his comments makes it clear that the Egyptian is more likely to find a new club. As of now, the 32-year-old is enjoying the final months at Anfield.
With rumors linking the winger to both the Saudi Pro League as well as Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint-Germain, the No.11’s next destination is yet to be determined.
