Bayern Munich manger Vincent Kompany provided an update on Harry Kane’s injury after the forward limped off the pitch during Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund. The Belgian manager offered a unique response to Kane’s injury, terming it an ‘English worry’.
Harry Kane was forced off the pitch just 33 minutes after the start of the match. The Englishman went down and clutched his leg in pain, signaling to the Bayern medical staff. Despite receiving treatment on the pitch, Kane could not continue and was replaced by Thomas Muller.
The ex-Tottenham forward has reportedly suffered a small muscle tear in the back of his right thigh. This means that Bayern Munich will be without their star striker for their upcoming DFB Pokal encounter against Bayer Leverkusen.

Speaking on the details of Kane’s injury, manager Vincent Kompany surprisingly responded that he could sense the ‘English worry’. This was a reference to English football fans, who quickly assumed the worst in case of an injury.
Kompany stated that Kane believes that his injury is not a ‘bad’ one, and even expressed hopes of the 31-year-old’s early recovery. Moreover, the Belgian added that it would be difficult to replace Kane up front, but reiterated his trust in the team. He feels that they can cope without their star forward.

It was a moment of brilliance from the Englishman, who has been linked with a move to the EPL. Dortmund held on to the lead until the 85th minute, when Jamal Musiala scored the equalizer.

The match, moreover, ended Bayern’s eight-match clean sheet run in all competitions, as they conceded a goal for the first time since October. Bayern, despite the draw, kept their place on top of the Bundesliga table with 30 points from 12 matches.
