Nikola Jokic is known for his deft touch and awareness on a basketball court. His strength, though, is understated, as he has displayed the ability to hold his own against other stronger opponents.
He uses his strength intelligently, enabling him to play nearly 40 minutes when needed, even though at times fatigue does catch up to him. That was one of the reasons the Denver Nuggets sought to bring in help in the form of Jonas Valanciunas.
That said, the Serbian superstar is not one to back down from anything. He is not as good a trash talker as some who are heralded for it, but retaliates if and when necessary.
Maybe it comes from his upbringing in his war-torn country. But Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia understood firsthand, and so did former Miami Heat star Markieff Morris.
When he was talking with fellow NBA star and twin brother Marcus Morris, they came across a fan question that asked how they would fare in a 2 vs. 2 battle with Nikola Jokic’s brothers.
Y’all see them, and be like, ‘Damn, these motherf***ers are big.’ I’m 6’ 10″ 280, and an athletic version to these big-chested motherf***ers that can’t move. I’ll punch both of these n**gas in their chest… I’m putting hands on them n**gas easy. Like, it ain’t even a question… It’s a landslide.

The brothers were asked in the chat who would win in a 2 vs. 2 — them against the Jokic brothers.

The NBA champion believes that when it comes to just pure strength against strength and agility, the latter will win. That is why he and his brother will win easily if they are to go up against Strahinja and Nemanja Jokic.
Morris Twins vs. Nikola Jokic’s brothers could be a lopsided affair
When this clip from their podcast was released, some of the reactions in the comments section indicated that fans were baffled by the claim put forward by Markieff Morris.
However, there could be some sense in what the former Los Angeles Lakers star was saying. The Morris twins are around four years younger than the Jokic brothers.

They have recently left the NBA, which suggests they are still in good physical conditioning. On top of that, ‘Keef’, as LeBron James calls him, made a point that he and his brother are not bulked up.
As basketball players, they have to be athletic enough to move around a lot. When one looks at a recent picture of Strahinja Jokic, it is evident that he has gained significant weight and muscle mass.
That puts him at a disadvantage if the Morris twins start to dance around him. Nemanja is still in shape, and he has boxing skills. But this is a 2 vs. 2 battle. Sure, one hit from the oldest Jokic could knock a Morris out.
Even then, if they strategize their way, it is possible that the two NBA star twins could end up winning this battle. As the 36-year-old said, it could be a ‘landslide’ win.
Nikola Jokic and Nuggets mixing it up with the league’s best
Last season, Nikola Jokic and his Denver Nuggets pushed eventual champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, to 7 games. Some would argue that fatigue stopped them from reaching their second NBA Finals in 3 seasons.
This season, they have a retooled roster, with Michael Porter Jr. gone. Despite that, they do not seem to have missed a beat, as they are currently third in the West with a 7-2 record.
That places them as one of the top 4 teams in the league. Some analysts predicted it would take time for the new teammates to work with Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon.
However, so far, that has not been a problem. If they continue to play in this manner, they will be labeled as one of the favorites to dethrone the Thunder and win their second ever NBA championship.
