“He is an extremely talented rider,” Fabio Quartararo backs Toprak Razgatlioglu to make the jump in MotoGP

Fabio Quartararo and Toprak Razgatlioglu

Fabio Quartararo and Toprak Razgatlioglu are two riders who have been highly successful in their own sports at a very young age. Both of them are already proven winners in their respective categories but Razgatlioglu would also want to prove his mettle in MotoGP. After winning his first championship in World Super Bike championship, it’s proving to be a big task for him as he finds himself 3rd in the championship.

But, Fabio Quartararo has been utterly dominant and robotically brilliant which has been a cause of concern for the chasing pack. The Frenchman has been on an unbelievable run as he won yet another Grand Prix in Sachsenring. Despite Yamaha’s problems on circuits with long straights, Fabio Quartararo has somehow been able to find the answers and maintain his firm hold on the rider’s standings.

The Frenchman looked in the zone from the get go and wasted no time in getting his elbows out and pinching the lead of the race from arch rival, Francesco Bagnaia. It was a different race for him from that point on as he kept on pulling away from the chasing pack and eventually winning the race, allowing him to stretch his advantage to 34 points in the rider’s standing, which could possibly mean curtains for the championship.

The reigning world champion recently showed the respect he hold for Toprak Razgatlioglu and hopes to compete with him in MotoGP soon. He said, “For me he is an extremely talented rider. You can see from his riding style and how much he pushes the bike, also the save he did in Estoril on the last chicane, the way he’s riding the Yamaha on the limit.”

“I think he has the potential to jump in MotoGP.”

“Of course it’s a total different story to Superbike. I think he knows from the test at Aragon that it’s a much more rigid bike, much more different to ride, but for sure if he’s in full motivation, I think he can be a really fast rider.”

Greatness recognizes greatness and Fabio Quartararo is proving that yet again. It’ll be fascinating to see these two go head to head at some point in time in MotoGP and it definitely looks like a possibility now.
