“He recovered well,” Vincent Vosse hails Valentino Rossi for his improvement at Magny-Cours in France
Valentino Rossi
Valentino Rossi decided to retire from motorcycle racing in the year 2021 as he switched from two wheels to four. It has not been the smoothest of transitions for the seven time MotoGP world champion who has not been able to replicate the heroics of his MotoGP career. But it will be unfair to measure him on the same metric as his career in MotoGP.
The Doctor had achieved everything that there was to be achieved in the sport. The veteran left as the rider with the most win, most podiums and most world championships, a record which can only be dreamt of by any rider in MotoGP. But, now he has decided to move on to sport which we never expected him to choose after such a illustrious career.
The seven time world champion is now full time involved in GT world challenge Europe, driving an Audi R8 LMS for Team WRT. The Doctor is slowly coming to terms with the car and has had difficult start to his career. But team boss Vincent Vosse was happy with the developments of Rossi as he recovered from a crash to finish 15th in the first race and 11th in the second race.

The boss was happy and expressed in the post race interview. He said, “We had a bit of everything this weekend, and performance-wise, we were not the top car but I understand that the Audi being a new evolution, it takes some time to find the right balance of performance.“
“Saturday, car #32 had a perfect race and the crews did a wonderful job all weekend, today it was car #33 showing the best pace, but the penalty cost it two positions.”
“It was a more difficult outing for our car in the Silver Cup and for car #46 [Rossi] after the incident in Q1, but again, it recovered well, with Vale improving constantly,” as reported by crash.
Valentino Rossi took this bold decision to jump back into a sport which he has never tried before but that talks volumes about the mentality of the seven time MotoGP world champion.
