“They now live for Fabio Quartararo,” Carlos Pernat highlights Yamaha’s overdependency on the Frenchman

Fabio Quartararo
Fabio Quartararo is the reigning world champion and also the current world championship leader after a couple of brilliant results. Does that mean that the Frenchman is happy with the current situation at Yamaha? Absolutely not. The Frenchman has not been happy with the performance of the Yamaha M1 as compared to the Ducatis, which in turn has costed him valuable points.
This also led to speculations around the future of Fabio Quartararo despite Yamaha being confident of being able to renew the contract by the end of June. We all know that Fabio Quartararo has the potential and determination to win multiple championships if given the right bike. For that, Yamaha needs to step for the reigning world champion and get on top of their well documented issues.
Out of four riders, Fabio Quartararo has been the only silver lining. Andrea Dovizioso, Darryn Binder and Franco Morbidelli have been unable to fire up the Yamaha and get the best out of it. There’s an evident difference in pace when we compare the Ducati and Yamaha but somehow Fabio Quartararo has been able to find the pace and that competitive edge.
Carlos Pernat believes even Fabio Quartararo won’t be able to help Yamaha in the next two races

But, Carlos Pernat feels that might come to a halt in the next two races and the shortcomings of the Yamaha might be exposed.
He said, “Yamaha has Fabio Quartararo, who proved to be a champion even on a bike inferior to Ducati. But now come two tracks that are not favorable to Yamaha: Mugello and Barcelona, with the straights where Yamaha loses a lot to Ducati.”
“Yamaha now lives for Quartararo and between [Franco] Morbidelli, [Andrea] Dovizioso] and [Darryn] Binder aren’t showing results,” as reported by motorcyclesports.
Yamaha has their work cut out especially in the next two races to get on top of their issues so that all the riders, especially Fabio Quartararo, can have a fighting chance against the likes of Enea Bastianini and Jack Miller in the Ducati.
