From bikes to cars, Moto GP legend Valentino Rossi changes tires fast!
Valentino Rossi
Valentino Rossi is widely regarded as the greatest MotoGP rider in history. The Doctor made his debut in 1996 in the 125cc World Championship and has collected 9 Championships since. He won 7 MotoGP titles between 2001 and 2009. Rossi retired from motorbike racing at the end of 2021 and decided it was time for a new challenge.
In January, 2022 , Team WRT announced The Doctor would be driving an Audi R8 LMS GT3 for the team in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. This wouldn’t be Rossi’s first time behind the wheel of a race car. Notably, the 7 time MotoGP Champion has previously competed in events like the Gulf 12 Hours at Yas Marina. Rossi has also tested Scuderia Ferrari‘s F1 cars a number of times.
The No.46 Team WRT Audi R8 driven by Rossi could only manage to finish 16th in the standings in 2022. With the team switching to BMW cars after ending a 13 year long partnership with Audi, 2023 will provide a great opportunity for Rossi to show his mettle on 4 wheels. Team WRT will be entering the. championship with the BMW M4 GT3.

He will be competing with an eagerness to replicate his MotoGP success on 4 wheels. It will be compelling to see if WRT’s chassis switch is able to produce the desired results.
