Alex Rins and Suzuki have had a blissful history together in the years that they have competed together. However, the factory-backed team of Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki which is currently competing in the MotoGP World Championship will be leaving the sport at the end of this season. This seemed to have shocked the fans at first but has now become a tough moment to witness.

After competing together for more than five years, the time has come to part ways for Alex Rins and Suzuki. The team has previously left the sport but decided to come back to the MotoGP class in 2015. However, the Japanese manufacturer decided to announce that they’re exiting the sport to its team staff during the single day test which occurred after the Spanish GP.

This decision did turn many heads and invoked a lot of conversations but it was one that was carefully thought out. However, the employees had no idea that this was being carried out until it was announced. Nevertheless, everyone wants to end the season on a high and Alex Rins wants to make the team proud by getting a good result in Valencia. Here is what he had to say to the media.

Here is what the Suzuki MotoGP rider stated. “It’s going to be a strange and sad weekend, but I’m determined to have a good one. My team have given me everything over the years, and I’ll give my all to pay them back with a good result one last time. Our team attitude has always been to try and stay happy, so let’s enter Valencia with good vibes and try to enjoy every moment,” he said.

It will be sad to see the team leave the sport after Valencia but based on their past history, we believe that there is a slight possibility that Suzuki will be back with a bang. For the 2023 season, Alex Rins will be racing with LCR Honda while his teammate Joan Mir will be racing with Repsol Honda alongside Marc Marquez.
