The 2023 MotoGP season has no been very kind to Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo so far. After five troubling races, it seemed like there would be a change of luck this weekend for the Frenchman. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to be the case as the rider was obviously struggling throughout the 1000th MotoGP race at LeMans.

Ducati went on to lock out the podium with Marco Bezzecchi taking a surprise victory by shockingly dominating throughout the race. The bikes of Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco taking up the second and third spot. Yet again, Fabio Quartararo was the fastest Yamaha on the grid as he went on to finish the race in seventh place. The Frenchman had lined up 13th on the grid for the race.

The Yamaha MotoGP rider went on to finish 15 seconds behind the race winner. While many were congratulating Fabio Quartararo for his push through the grid, the Frenchman had nothing but criticism to throw at his seventh place finish. His hopes of getting a good result at the historic race were thrashed by an arm pump. He further explained that it was all because of the physio treatment that he got.

In an interview, here is what he had to say when asked if he was happy with his recovery ride. “No. I don’t look at it like a recovery. Because six people in front of me crashed. So it’s not a recovery,” he said. “I had a physical issue, from the middle of the race,” Quartararo continued.
“This morning I had a treatment of my arm, and was for me way too aggressive. And I had arm pump from the middle of the race. I could have been much-much-much faster,” he concluded.

Fabio Quartararo hasn’t had a lot of luck this season with the Yamaha. The top gunners are moving away from him in the championship every race. The goal to win another MotoGP championship still remains unfulfilled for the Frenchman. The last time when something similar happened to Quartararo was when a Spanish GP victory was snatched from him due to an arm pump. This happened back in 2021.
