Mooney VR 46 rider Marco Bezzecchi has an important decision lying ahead of him. The Italian racer has made his presence known in the paddock having stolen the show with his pristine performances throughout the 2023 MotoGP season. Marco has gone on to win three races this season and has multiplie podiums to his name. The silly season already seems to have started.
Marco Bezzecchi and many others such as Fabio Quartararo and Marc Marquez have been poised to possibly change their teams next year. However, out of them, Marco switching bikes seems more likely. Ducati is very keen to sign Marco. However, they have stated that he would need to join Pramac in order to ride the latest machinery. VR46 will continue to run year old bikes next year.
In an interview, here is what Marco Bezzecchi had to say about his future. “Well, I think I made my decision already. I cannot tell you what I will do, but soon I will communicate it,” he stated. “But anyway, it was fantastic to have this celebration with Pecco [Bagnaia] and all the VR46 riders [after my Austrian GP podium],” the Italian rider continued.
Marco Bezzecchi’s first priority is to stay with VR46

Marco uses year-old Desmosedicis at VR46. Meanwhile the Factory Ducati team and Pramac Racing team have access to the latest bikes. Marco Bezzecchi has stated that his main plan is to stay with the VR 46 team for next year and race on the year old bikes. This is unless Ducati agrees to change its stance on a fifth GP24 entry.
Championship leader Pecco Bagnaia is in a good place in the standings, having already crunched up a 62 point lead. Marco clinched the last place on the podium during Sunday’s race, while Pecco won it all. Nevertheless, title hopes are still alive as the two Italians fight for glory. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top this year.
