“Move along, Junior” Chris Jericho goes all-in on Conor McGregor in a Twitter banter

Back in 2019, UFC star Conor McGregor and iconic WWE Superstar Chris Jericho engaged in a Twitter feud that we never anticipated to witness.

Both fighters have accomplished a lot in their respective disciplines over the years, but seeing them go at it online was a strange sight. McGregor has battled in the UFC in many weight divisions, including featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight, with varying degrees of success in each, and he has even faced boxing star, Floyd Mayweather. In the meantime, Jericho has accomplished a lot in the realm of wrestling. The American has been a mainstay in the business and is one of the most well-known figures, routinely appearing on major pay-per-view events like WrestleMania and SummerSlam.

Chris Jericho steps up to trash talk against the trash-talker!

It all started when the notorious one took it to Twitter to congratulate Becky Lynch on winning both the Women’s Championships at Wrestlemania 35. To this, a fan of Jericho had his say by Tweeting, “First Champ? Nah mate you’re wrong”

Mcgregor replied to this saying one of them is a WCW Belt and being a 69champ champ means holding 2 belts at the same promotion. This was enough for Chris Jericho himself to get himself involved in the conversation.

However, this wasn’t the first time when the two icons were involved in a Twitter banter. Back in 2016, they exchanged words too but at that time, it was a bit too harsh.

Conor stated, “I didn’t mean to disrespect the fans of @wwe. What I meant to say was that I’d slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday’s”. This did not sit well with Jericho, who vowed to retaliate against the Irishman in a terrible manner. We all know Jericho would never hear a word against his beloved company.

“Sorry pal no disrespect to u, but my fights are legit, unlike the fixed fights u have in @UFC. I’ll embarrass u,” said Chris Jericho.

The heated battles have hyped up the fans from both the sports, be it WWE or UFC and a match, if it ever happens, in whichever sport, is going to be one hell of a 5-star classic. However, at this point, it seems highly unlikely, but you know, never say never!
