MS Dhoni’s mother and father test positive for COVID-19; hospitalized in Ranchi

MS Dhoni‘s mother Devaki Devi and father Pan Singh have tested positive for COVID-19 and admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi. They are now receiving treatment, according to reports. The news came in today in the morning and India Today have confirmed the same stating that it is Pulse Super Speciality Hospital where the two are currently receiving treatment.
Dhoni is currently taking part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for his side Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He is currently in Mumbai and his side have won two out of their first three matches. Although the skipper hasn’t been in the best of form, his side has been able to deliver results. They face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) today and would want to come up with their third consecutive win.

Reports from India Today broke the news of Dhoni’s parents testing positive for COVID-19. It read, “Former India cricketer MS Dhoni’s mother, Devaki Devi and father, Pan Singh have tested positive for Covid-19. Dhoni’s parents have been admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi. MS Dhoni’s father and mother are receiving treatment at Pulse Super Speciality Hospital in Ranchi.”
Soon after the news came in, social media has been filled with messages of support for the CSK skipper and his family. With COVID-19 cases raging in the country amid the second wave, the number of such instances which one hears daily and has shockingly become normalcy, remind us of how important it is to strictly follow all regulations and take all the precautions necessary.
