Injuries are an inevitable part of professional wrestling, something nearly every superstar faces at some point in their career. It’s a risk they take in their pursuit of entertaining the audience. Unfortunately, these setbacks can sometimes force them to miss major events, including the highly anticipated and upcoming Royal Rumble.

According to PWInsider, one of these superstars is Dakota Kai. Several rumors floated around this past week saying that the 36-year-old had unfortunately hurt herself once again. It appears that she is still on concussion protocol and, thus, will not be traveling to Indianapolis over the weekend.

Another superstar who recently suffered an injury was JD McDonagh. The Irish wrestler took an extremely harsh bump on the latest episode of Raw during a match against The War Raiders. He was attended to by a doctor right after the match and then taken to a hospital. The former World Tag Team Champion later revealed that he had suffered a punctured lung and a few broken ribs.

Of course, there are many other superstars who will also have to miss out on the match due to injuries suffered in the past. The case of Bronson Reed hurts the most. He was on an unstoppable run right before being injured and was over with the fans as well. He truly could have had a monster run in the Rumble match this year. What hurts even more is that he would not only miss the 30-man match but also WrestleMania due to his devastating injury.

Becky Lynch is expected to appear at the Royal Rumble

While it is unfortunate that many of these superstars will have to miss out on the Royal Rumble, there are several other superstars who could be making their way back to the company at this PLE. Charlotte Flair has already announced in advance that she will make her return in the 30-woman match. The next on this list could be Becky Lynch.

Another report by PWInsider stated that Becky Lynch will be present at the Lucas Oil Stadium, the venue for the Royal Rumble, on Saturday. WWE will apparently do their best to ensure that a minimum amount of people spot her backstage and throughout the arena. People within the company fully expect her to be an entrant in the Women’s Rumble match.

It is worth noting that Lynch being spotted in Indianapolis, or even in the Lucas Oil Stadium, doesn’t necessarily mean that she will be in the Rumble match. She could simply be traveling alongside her husband, Seth Rollins. Alternatively, she may only be there for advertisements, signings, or other media events.
