A month after leaving WWE, MVP has finally arrived in AEW. On the latest episode of Dynamite, the former United States Champion interrupted Prince Nana‘s update on Swerve Strickland. MVP addressed the live crowd and heaped praise on the former AEW World Champion. Further, the veteran questioned why Strickland lost his title at All In.

MVP was also puzzled by why “Hangman” Adam Page was walking around without any repercussions after he burned Swerve’s childhood home. The 50-year-old went on to blame Prince Nana for the AEW star’s recent failures. MVP criticized Nana for not focusing on the task in hand, catering to the fans instead. As such, the former Hurt Business member offered to represent Strickland once the latter was ready to return.

Montel Vontavious Porter departed WWE in August after his contract expired. Prior to leaving, the former Tag Team Champion vehemently lashed out at management for not reuniting The Hurt Business. Moreover, his comments on social media gained steam after many believed he accused WWE CCO Triple H of being racist.

MVP would later go on to deny those claims. However, he did take indirect digs at management after his deal ran out. Most notably, calling Hunter an ‘idiot’ for underutilizing Omos on the main roster.

Nonetheless, his departure clearly became a matter of when rather than if. Interestingly, he might not be the only ex-WWE star to have signed with Tony Khan‘s company.

MVP expected to reunite with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin in AEW

Speaking of The Hurt Business, MVP may have backup arriving soon in AEW. Bobby Lashley, whose contract also expired last month, and Shelton Benjamin will most likely join forces again with the 50-year-old.

This time around, they will be appearing as The Hurt Syndicate after a trademark filing by MVP seemingly confirmed the rumors. Following his debut promo on Dynamite: Grand Slam, Swerve Strickland could potentially be facing Lashley in a ‘dream’ match soon.

Of course, this depends on whether the former AEW World Champion accepts MVP’s offer or not. Strickland is expected to return by the upcoming WrestleDream PPV. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how things transpire in the lead-up to the event.
