Myles Garrett is ready to ruin the Baltimore Ravens’ 30th anniversary celebrations even though the Cleveland Browns will start the fixture as massive underdogs. Sunday can’t come soon enough for both sets of fans.
Both sides began the 2025 NFL season experiencing narrow defeats. The Browns lost to divisional rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, by one point, while the Ravens blew a 15-point lead against the Buffalo Bills in the last five minutes.
Myles Garrett logged in 5 tackles, 5 assists, and 2 sacks. He’s aiming for the same against the Ravens, who celebrate the 30th anniversary of former owner Art Modell moving the original Browns from Cleveland to Baltimore ahead of the 1996 season.
I mean, [I] wanna go down there and play spoiler, that’s about it.
Myles Garrett said during media availability on Friday
Garrett often hears stories from older fans about the fateful day nearly three decades ago.
That’s usually an older crowd than I hang out with. But I do hear it every now and then when I go to get gas. So yeah, I do understand the feelings and the motives behind people’s dislike of [the Ravens].

It will be a tough task. According to ESPN Bet, the Ravens are 11.5-point favorites to win against the Browns. Garrett wants to prove Vegas wrong.
I’m one with the city [of Cleveland]. I try to carry that on my back when we go in there or they come to our place.

Myles Garrett shared a word of advice for Joe Flacco
Sunday is also a special occasion for the Browns’ veteran quarterback, Joe Flacco. He will return to Baltimore for the first time since 2018.

Garrett and the Browns’ defense will do their part to limit the Ravens from scoring. He wants Flacco to focus on the offense.
Hell, he can make sure of that himself… Go out there and throw some [touchdowns], and we will take care of the rest.
Myles Garrett said
Flacco played 11 years (6 winning seasons) for the Ravens and won his first and only Super Bowl ring in 2012. The last time he faced the Ravens was in 2022 with the New York Jets (at MetLife Stadium).
The Browns’ defense must contain the likes of Derrick Henry, who leads the NFL in rushing yards after just one game. It’s not an easy feat to keep a leash on the 6-foot-2, 250-pound running back, but Garrett’s teammate Grant Delpit recently said it’s ‘no challenge’ for them.
#Browns S Grant Delpit was asked about his mindset of not being afraid to go in and tackle Derrick Henry:

We gotta go out there and prove it. Talk is cheap. He’s a hell of a player and a HOF talent, but we go out there and have our guy [Delpit] back. We are going to support him the best way we can, and that’s by slowing him down and stopping the run game and nullifying their best talents, the best we can.

Garrett has faced the Ravens 14 times in his career, accumulating 21 solo tackles, 12 assists, 8.5 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries. He has played 118 games since entering the league in 2017, amassing 357 combined tackles, 104.5 sacks, 17 pass deflections, and 20 forced fumbles.
