IPL 2021: “He takes his cricket very seriously” – N Srinivasan lauds ‘determined’ MS Dhoni and ‘loyal’ CSK side

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are among the most followed T20 franchise sides in the world and there is no doubt as to why that is so. The franchise has created a name for itself as one of the most consistent sides ever and has also welcomed great fan following thanks to its charismatic captain and leader, MS Dhoni who has been with the side ever since the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) inception.
Last time around, the side faced its first difficult season as nothing seemed to go right. They finished outside the playoff spots for the first time in their history and the famed batting line-up known for taking chases deep and knocking the runs down couldn’t do so. With the 2021 edition of the IPL set to begin in less than a month’s time, CSK would want a far better showing this time around in the tournament.
N Srinivasan speaks on MS Dhoni and CSK

The owner of the CSK franchise, N Srinivasan spoke to India Today about the side as well as its skipper MS Dhoni. “For your information, MS Dhoni is in Chennai. He takes his cricket so seriously; he is practicing in morning in the indoor nets and in the afternoon, he is practicing at Chepauk. He is a very determined person and that is what we like. One more thing, Cricket is about winning, IPL is about winning but there are also things such as consistency and loyalty and I think that is what oozes out of us,” he said.
Speaking then about India Cements for whom he is the Managing Director, “We are in cricket for the last 50 years, we started in early 60s, almost the entire Tamil Nadu Ranji team was employed by us. So we have been in cricket for a long time, we have been running teams, we have a true appreciation and a good appreciation of good cricket,” Srinivasan said.
CSK will kick off their IPL season against Delhi Capitals on the 10th of April.
