Jurgen Klopp addressed the fitness issues of both Naby Keita and Diogo Jota in the press conference before the Leicester City match. While there was positive news about Naby Keita, it would seem that Diogo Jota is set to be out until the start of March. This means that the front three will still not be able to be rested and will have to keep grinding until the return of the gifted winger.

The return of Naby Keita will allow Liverpool for more creativity and dynamism in the midfield

Naby Keita will always be a serious upgrade over whatever James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gini Wijnaldum brings to the midfield. The Guinean midfielder is energetic, good at dribbling and has an eye for creative passes. His presence in the team has seen Liverpool win all their matches this season in the Premier League, except for the one against Aston Villa. The news that he is in his final stage of rehab and is set to make his return soon will be good news for Liverpool fans.

However the absence of Diogo Jota for the next 2-3 weeks will be a major blow as people were expecting him to be fit for the first leg against RB Leipzig. Now it would seem that the Portuguese winger will not be fit until the start of March and it could go longer. The Portuguese winger had a natural ability to score goals whenever he wanted to and he made it seem so easy. He never took unnecessary shots and took shots that always ended as a goal. His talent is desperately needed by Liverpool and his return could inject the much needed energy to the depleted and tired Liverpool squad.
