In August 2020, Roman Reigns returned at WWE Summerslam after a pandemic induced break. Reigns returned as a Heel character, and WWE has built him as one of the biggest stars of the industry. Since he returned, the Universal Champion he has referred to himself as The Tribal Chief of WWE and his own family.

After a long family feud with The Usos, Roman Reigns was able to get Jey Uso accept him as The Tribal Chief. Since then, Uso has been a part of Reigns’ faction. Former WWE writer Vince Russo feels that Naomi should be added to the family-oriented storyline too.

Naomi is a part of the Samoan family, as she is married to Jimmy Uso .While appearing on SK Wrestling’s Writing with Russo series, he mentioned that Naomi’s addition to the storyline is a no-brainer.

“Storyline-wise, I would tie her in to that whole Roman Reigns storyline. That whole Samoan family and the roots, the relationships throughout the family. I mean, I can’t believe that they’re missing the boat on that, you know. That’s a no-brainer to me.”

Roman Reigns is set to defend his WWE Universal Championship against Edge at Wrestlemania 37. But before that he will be defending his title against Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane.

Naomi, along with Lana, was the No.1 contender for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. But they lost their Championship match to current Champions – Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Naomi has worked with The Usos on WWE TV. But an alliance with Reigns would be something fresh for the WWE Universe.
