Daytona 500 sold out for the 8th season in a row
The 75th anniversary NASCAR Cup season will officially start with the Great American Race, the Daytona 500. The NASCAR teams will hit the Florida track on February 19, Sunday for the most prestigious stock car racing event.
Daytona 500 is the fan favorite and most profitable event for NASCAR. The camping and grandstand seating has been sold out for 8 consecutive seasons in a row. This year’s race is more than a month away. The fans who have missed out on the tickets can enjoy the event from UNOH Fanzone and select premium hospitality options.
“Our fans know there’s nothing better in sports than attending the Daytona 500, and they will help us kick off NASCAR’s 75th Anniversary by filling the facility. We will have a week of great racing, and there are still so many opportunities for fans to come out to the track and be a part of the action during Speedweeks Presented By AdventHealth,” says Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher.
The 2023 season opener has some special stories already in the making. Seven times Cup champion Jimmie Johnson will try to qualify for the event as owner-driver with LEGACY M.C. Action Sport and Rallycross superstar Travis Pastrana will make his Cup series debut with 23X1 Racing and will try to qualify alongside Jimmie as well.

NASCAR fans were excited to see the ticket numbers as there were concerns over the price of the tickets affecting sales. Some fans also took the opportunity to dig at fans who continue claiming that NASCAR is a dead sport and that fans are not interested in racing.
