The NASCAR Cup Series grid will take the track this weekend for the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Barstool Sportsbook is providing the postseason racing’s second round in 2022. The 16-man playoff grid is anticipated to make a comeback in this race as a result of their inability to prevail last week at Darlington while the winless drivers of the season will are hoping to secure one for redemption.

Alex Bowman has been among the most consistent drivers on the grid this season as the No:48 Camaro ZL1 driver has once had the chance to prove he is a worthy successor to Jimmie Johnsons No:48 car. Alongside his teammate, William Byron, Alex Bowman also finished on a high note with his P10 finish at Darlington, the first playoff race of 2022.

Going into the Kansas track Bowman will be hoping to finish the race at p1 or closer to the top which can ensure him a clear path ahead to the next rounds of playoff. The dominance of Hendrick Motorsports also assures him the opportunity to remade the fans that he is not the fourth best driver of the HMS grid and he can the main man one day.

Alex Bowman acknowledged that he really likes the Kansas track as it had widened out offering multiple lanes to get around for the drivers. He pointed out that he always has been competitive at the track and has the confidence going there this weekend that he can remain the same.

I really like that track. Kansas (Speedway) is one of the tracks that has widened out and has multiple lanes and ways to get around it. I feel like I have always gone there and been competitive and this weekend doesn’t feel any different from any other weekend I have headed there,” Alex Bowman said.

He pointed out that the No:48 team will have a fast chevy and shred his hope that they might be able to get a win there, saying, “I know our team will build a fast No 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 like they do every week and we will go there and race just as hard as we always do. Hopefully, it is enough to grab a win,”.

He pointed out that they are the underdog going into the are day which what exactly the team needs to navigate the playoff.

Alex (Bowman) really likes Kansas and coming off a top-10 finish, I think our team has a lot of wind in our sails right now. He (Bowman) has said it before, we always feel like underdogs, so there is a little bit of a fire lit under the No. 48 team right now and I think that’s exactly what this team needs as we navigate the playoffs,” Greg Ives said.
