2024 NASCAR Cup season marked yet another heartbreak for Alex Bowman, who came into the year hoping for redemption. The No:48 Chevy teams’ 2022 and 2023 season were ruined by serious injurious, so he was determined to change odds this year. He won the Chicago Street race and made his way into the R-12.

Bad luck followed Alex Bowman to the post-season, as he was disqualified from R-12 after his car was found underweight. This gave the spot to Joey Logano, who went onto to win the championship. The Hendrick Motorsports driver recently sat down with RCAER for an interview and detailed his plans for 2025, amidst questions on his future with the team.

His primary objective for next year is to win races and end his streak of having good regular season, only to struggle in the most important final races. He wants to remain in the good side throughout the season and capitalize on it. Alex Bowman would be looking into getting his first multi-win season since 2021.

We need to go win races. That’s the biggest thing. It’s so hard to make an outlook just because who would have said [Joey] Logano would win the championship in the middle of the year? I do think being on the good side of things instead of coming off a poor end of the season is really good. So, we just need to use that in the right ways and capitalize on it and go from there.

Obviously, Phoenix didn’t go how we wanted it to, but other than that, I felt like we did a really good job the rest of the season. Martinsville looks bad on paper but we ran 13th at Martinsville with no power steering for the last half of the race. So, we were doing the right things for sure.

The comments from Alex Bowman are a positive for everyone at HMS, who is looking to redeeming themselves next season. He has to make a comeback next year as there are a lot of questions around his credential, over inconsistent performance and lack of multiple wins a season.
