Ever since his debut in NASCAR back in 2013, current 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace has always been a fierce competitor. The driver has had multiple victories in the Cup and Truck Series. He has always seemed focused and ready to go wheel-to-wheel on track.

Recently, the No:23 Toyota Camry driver spoke about his personality on and off track in the Stacking pennis podcast hosted by fellow driver and close friend Corey Lajoie. According to Bubba Wallace, the fierceness he’s shown on track in the last four to five years isn’t his general personality. The driver added how when he’s not racing, he has a carefree character.

I would show up the last three-four years, i'd show pissed off. Have'nt even been on a race track but pissed off and ready to prove the world I'm him. Now, I show up, i try not to look pissed off. I'm so focused on what I do, like hyper-focused on what i need to do. And i always say, what you see of Bubba Wallace on the race track is what you see at home. That is starting to change from, i'm at work right now let me focus on this and then we can have fun. But i am still the same old punk a** kid.
Bubba Wallace said via Stacking Pennies podcast.

Bubba Wallace highlighted how whenever he’s on track he is hyper-focused and ready to go which can be one of the reasons that the driver looks pissed off and serious. Wallace concluded by detailing about how he’s still a kid at his heart and wants to have fun after racing.

I’m worn the hell out – mentally, Just from clean air to dirty air with the balance – it was just such a big deficit between the two. Never had the confidence to make passes, and that is what you have to do to make moves at the Cup level.
Bubba Wallace said.

The No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE racer also added how it was very hard to come up with the right setup for his car, which led to a lot of issues for him throughout the race weekend. Following this, Wallace will definitely want to bounce back in the next few rounds.
