Chase Elliott came into the Texas Motor Speedway high on confidence with hopes that he could end his winless streak that lasted over 42 races sooner. He didn’t had to wait a race more, as the No:9 driver took the caution filled chaos at the track to his advantage to win his first race since Talladega 2022, in double over-time.
After the race, Bubba Wallace couldn’t help himself but take a sly dig at the NASCAR fans while celebrating his close friend Chase Elliott’s win. He pointed out that fans won’t be asking NASCAR to stop coming to the track, since their most favourite driver has won in there with an impressive display.

Can’t get rid of Texas now… all is right in the NASCAR world today. Welcome back champ Chase Elliott.

Welcome back champ @chaseelliott
Texas Motor Speedway has been one of the most hated track among the NASCAR fans as well as the drivers. Even the Elliott coming into the weekend was very critical about the difficulties and poor race product at the track since the re-configuration in 2017. This weekend was arguably far better than what it has been over the last few season and Wallace might be right to think that it wont lose a date now.
Kyle Larson celebrated Chase Elliott’s win at Texas
Chase Elliott’s teammate and close friend Kyle Larson also took it to X, and share his thoughts on the win. He was happy to see the No:9 back on the victory lane. Larson didn’t had a great day compared to his teammate on Sunday as he was involved in multiple incidents after starting the race on pole.

Just wasn’t our day. Happy for Chase Elliott and the 9 team getting back to VL.Kyle Larson wrote on X.

The impressive win has extended the dominance of Hendrick Motorsports in the 2024 season. It was their fifth win of the year, with just nine race into the season. Alongside Elliott Larson also has one victory in his bucket. At the same time their teammate, William Byron is leading the way with three Cup race wins.
