The NASCAR Cup Series race last Sunday at Talladega was one of the cleanest races there has been at the track, especially in the Next-Gen era, with the absence of the big one being the biggest highlight. While wildness was missing on the track, the team radio was wild as usual with reigning champion Joey Logano having the biggest meltdown of the day.
As the second stage was coming to end, Joey Logano found himself in a battle with Bubba Wallace for valuable playoff points. He was banking on teammate Austin Cindric to help him, by pushing him from the back. But the No:2 Ford had to suddenly check-up, killing the momentum of No:22 Ford and helping Wallace win, making Logano go on a profanity laced rant.
Austin Cindric later went onto win the race and shared an image with his team celebrating the win on X. Bubba Wallace took this as the perfect opportunity to rub salt on Joey Logano’s wound by indirectly teasing the Ford veteran about the loss while congratulating the young Team Penske Racing driver for the win.
Big AC fan in stage 2… don’t listen to the naysayers, you were perfect!

The 23XI Racing driver is known for such shenanigans on social media, with Logano’s teammate Ryan Blaney being his usual target, as they are best friends. The No:12 Ford driver was lucky he wasn’t in place of the three times Cup champion, as Wallace would have had a field day on social media.
Bubba Wallace had a mixed weekend at Talladega
The 23XI Racing driver had an average race on Sunday, as he finished P8, won a stage, but failed to get upfront towards the end of the race owing to the absence of a wreck. Still, he sees it as a good day for the No:23 team, as they are top-10 in points, and a solid position to make it into the R-16 at the moment.

I don’t really know what to think as I think we were all waiting for a big wreck there at the end and it never happened. We ended up 10th (later 8th after Logano and Preece DQ), so that’s a good day for us. We didn’t need a new winner, but congrats to Austin (Cindric). Was nice not having to riding around, running half throttle and save fuel. We did at times, but not as much.

The No:23 Toyota driver will be hoping to have a solid day in the upcoming week at Texas Motor Speedway with some momentum on his and his teammates side. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for them.
