Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott came into the 2024 season with the hopes of redemption after ending his 2023 season winless, costing him a spot in the playoffs. He marked him comeback by winning the 2024 Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway, with his solid performance.

Chase Elliott came close to winning few more races in the remaining events, but failed win any of those. He has been winless since while his teammate Kyle Larson has secured multiple race wins. With the playoff R-12 coming close and with him in the elimination bubble, he was asked about how he feels about the streak.

Elliott asserted that he doesn’t see it as frustrating. He highlighted how it has been hard to win races in the Next-Gen era, with the competition being tougher than ever and more drivers getting into the victory lane. The No:9 HMS Chevy driver actually enjoys seeing multiple drivers in the victory lane.

I don’t necessarily find it frustrating… It does seem like we have a more consistent widespread number of winners yearly since we’ve had this car. So, that’s been interesting to watch.

Yeah, to me, I kind of look at it like it’s a new race track, truthfully. That section of the track is going to change the entire flow of the lap there, so I’ve been kind of approaching it as a new track with my preparation. I’ve spent some time in the simulator, just trying to really memorize the track and where the little bumps are.

The race will be some big challenge for Elliott, as he hasn’t been able to produce solid races on road courses in the Next-Gen era. He has to work a little extra to make sure he can make the best out of race this coming Sunday.
