Chris Buescher Signs Multi-Year Contract Extension with RFK Racing
RFK Racing driver Chris Buescher has signed a multi-year contract extension with the Ford team, despite being winless for over 50+ races.

Veteran Chris Buescher has been the backbone of RFK Racing in the Next-Gen era and arguably the best Ford driver not from Team Penske Racing. In the last four seasons, the veteran has won five races in the No:17 car, including the three victories in the 2023 season.
Though he went winless last year, he has been the benchmark at RFK Racing and that’s why the owners have decide to offer him a multi-year extension. Buescher is excited about the opportunity and shared his thoughts via public statement. He is incredibly proud of everything RFK has build in his seven years with the team and sees more room to grow.
RFK Racing has been home for most of my racing career, and that’s something I don’t take for granted. I’ve grown up with this organization, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together over the last several years.
Chris Buescher said about the extension.
Further talking about the point, the veteran racer admitted that the team id heading in the right direction with having the right people as well as resources placed in the right spots. Chris Buescher is determined to win more races for the team and potentially bring a championship back to the team co-owned by his teammate Brad Keselowski.
The direction we’re heading, the people we have in place, and the commitment throughout the company make me excited about the future. I’m grateful to Mr. Jack, Brad, Fenway Sports Group, and everyone at RFK Racing for their belief in me. I’m looking forward to continuing to chase wins and championships together.

RFK Racing owners shares their thoughts on new Chris Buescher contract
The owner driver of the team, Keselowski shared his thoughts on the extension and claimed that Buescher is everything he expects from a racer/teammate. He sees the extension as the reward to the significant role the Ford racer played the team’s development over the years.

Chris is everything you want in a race car driver and teammate. His talent behind the wheel speaks for itself, but what really separates him is his professionalism, preparation and commitment to making everyone around him better. He’s been instrumental in the progress we’ve made as an organization, and we’re excited to continue building toward our goals together.

The majority owner of the team, Jack Roush, also made his thoughts on the situation public. He sees the driver as an exceptional athlete with solid work ethic, intelligence and is someone who is making the organization stronger.
Chris has been part of this organization for most of his professional career, and there is a tremendous amount of pride in seeing what he has become. He is an exceptional driver, but just as importantly, he is the kind of person who makes our organization stronger. His work ethic, intelligence and commitment to our success have earned the respect of everyone at RFK Racing, and we’re proud that his story with us will continue.

The comments from the ownership duo seems to be on point and shows how high they rate the experienced racer, who is clearly the number one in the team. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the team in the coming races.
