Supply chain disruption forced NASCAR to break the post-race display of cars

The New generation of stock cars, with revised aero which is expected to facilitate better racing, with a body that closely resembles that of road cars, and its full embrace of NASCAR’s reality as a spec series should drive down costs by the usage of standardized parts manufactured by pre-approved vendors. With car manufacturing in a world still reeling from a pandemic, NASCAR is also facing the consequences of supply chain disruptions.
NASCAR teams were expecting to have two to three of the five stock cars they wanted to be built by the time Daytona 500 but now those cars aren’t expected to be produced until the end of the month at the time of WISE Power 400 as teams are desperately waiting for suppliers to ship parts that previously could’ve been produced in-house. Multiple components of NASCAR have been hastily redesigned, and their replacements are yet to reach teams in bulk.
