Hooters have been an iconic sponsor in the NASCAR world since they entered the sport with Alan Kulwicki in 1991. Since then, Chase Elliott has taken the restaurant chain as its main sponsor in the field just like his Polish-American idol. However, this partnership between the two parties ended precipitously which led to Coca Cola cashing in on the opportunity and announcing itself as the new sponsor of HM.
Chase Elliott is often known for its bond with American restaurant chain Hooters. The brand was supposed to be showcased on the livery of the No.9 Chevy on three occasions during the 2024 season. Hooters’ branding was seen in Atlanta and Texas, where the 28-year-old ended his 42-race-long winless streak. This generated expectations in fans’s minds as they were closing in on the race in Richmond, but the team ended its ties with the restaurant chain in favor of beverage maker Coca-Cola.
The team took to social media to reveal an all-white and red livery for the race in Richmond. On the other hand, this iconic Coca-Cola livery has been branded by multiple teams in the history of the championship. Regardless, with the beverage maker replacing Hooters, fans would miss Elliott’s age-old sponsor on the No.9 car.
Chase Elliott looks forward to racing the Coca-Cola drapped livery in Richmond
While fans would have loved to see the Hooters livery in action, the No.9 driver is ready to take on the streets of Richmond to win another race this season. His family has a long history of relationship with the beverage maker brand and would be excited to start a new chapter in his racing career.

The 28-year-old was seen covered in the iconic white-and-red color scheme while welcoming the soft drinks maker on board. Moreover, his father, Bill Elliott was also sponsored by Coca-Cola back in the day. Thus, a full circle is completed in Elliott’s father and son racing story.
I just wanted to take a second and express how excited I am to have Coke[Coca Cola] come on board as a primary sponsor of Richmond here in a few weeks. [It] couldn't be a better fit with me and the history that my family has with Coca Cola and their brand, so excited to have them come on board and be a part of out team.Chase Elliott said
Apart from this, Elliott is the protagonist for the 2024 championship and wants to become a two-time Cup Series champion. He currently stands second in the driver standings and would like to win the race in Richmond to gain points for the regular season championship before heading into the playoffs.
