Despite the premier stock car racing drivers being some of the best motorsports athletes in the world, the pressure to succeed every week is often a little too much for them,
Recently while talking about the retirement of the 2017 Cup champion Martin Truex Jr.’s retirement, Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed that this massive pressure in NASCAR made him a miserable person 90% of the time and it is the same for anyone including former champions likes Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch.
He pointed out that the drivers are in a bad state, if they are not winning races and they often feel unhappy about it. Junior pointed out that the drivers put in everything into winning the races and when they fail, it weighs on them.

The Hall of Famer pointed out that he and Truex Jr. hangs out during the hunting season, but the stress of racing often made him miserable during this trip. He is now looking forward to having good time with MTJ, who now will have no pressure on him.
The veteran seems to be looking forward to having his friend void of any racing responsibilities and finally enjoying the outdoor life cherishes the most. It will be interesting to see what is next for the Dale Jr.-Martin Truex Jr. duo in the future.
