Dale Earnhardt Jr. predicts Kyle Busch’s ‘return to victory lane’ in 2025

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season was a nightmare for Kyle Busch, as he ended the year winless and missed out on the playoffs. Richard Childress Racing fielding underwhelming cars and the mistakes Busch made on the track, played a significant role in the performance slump. Going into the 2025 season, redemption is his biggest goal.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the latest episode of his podcast, shared his feelings about what to expect from the two times Bill France Cup winner. The veteran is confident that Kyle Busch can get back to victory lane soon this year and asserted that unless something changes dramatically, there won’t be much change to his time to RCR.
The thing with Kyle, I think he does get back to Victory Lane. He’s too good. Won too many races over the course of his career to not find his way back. But unless something changes dramatically, this will be the life for him. This is the way things are going to be for the foreseeable future.

In the same podcast, Junior pointed out that he loves how Busch is exploring more races outside the Cup series as it helps him weather the storm of the poor performance. Racing with his son Brexton gives him more family time.
I do like what he’s doing away from Cup racing. A little bit of everything. He got back in a Legends car. He’s doing things purposely to be able to enjoy time with Brexton. If he didn’t have all of that, I’d be really concerned for Kyle and what he’s doing on Sundays… He can weather this storm until something changes. And that’s okay.

In the same podcast, Junior shared his feeling about Busch’s ex-teammate Denny Hamlin. He pointed out that he believes Joe Gibbs Racing will do everything possible to help the veteran secure the championship he has been longing since his debut.
I believe that Joe Gibbs Racing, that organization and the moves that they’ve made — they are going to make sure that there’s not a door open, or an opportunity for people to criticize the change. They’re going to make sure that Denny goes to the racetrack and that he’s competitive.

The comment from Junior shows he is confident about Hamlin’s capabilities and believes that JGR can give him a car consistent enough thrive throughout the year. It would be interesting to see how the three times Daytona 500 champion would perform in 2025.
