Mexican-American racer Daniel Suarez is going through one of the biggest transitions of his career, as he is set to end his five-year stint with Trackhouse Racing at the end of the 2025 season. The team and driver mutually decided to part ways, as their future goals doesn’t align anymore. Now with the Chevy driver looking for a new team, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a solid advice for him.
On the latest episode of the Dale Jr. Download podcast, Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. has shared his thoughts on the situation and told Daniel Saurez to be more aggressive in the races to make him standout to secure a seat in 2026. The racer needs to put his foot down, as he has lost himself in the midfield owing to his failure to produce strong runs, and no longer part of storylines that is in the limelight.
I think he has to be more aggressive. You cannot tell a race car driver to try harder, they’re all at the limit. But yeah, I think he needs to put his foot down, have a little edge to him, which he does (but) he can get lost, you can lose him in the story.

It’s a solid point made by the two times Xfinity Series champion. The only time before that exit announcement where Daniel Saurez has been a big factor of race week story line was the inaugural Mexico City Cup race weekend where he was undoubtedly the biggest draw. But other than that, there hasn’t been big defining moments for him.
This is true for more than just Suarez, there are many midfield drivers that are performing mediocre at the moment, failing to amass any moments on and off the track. For these racers, remaining significant is important to secure a future seat and that is the same position Suarez has found himself unfortunately in this situation. He needs to standout in order to thrive.
This is true for lots of drivers in the series. You’ve got to be careful not to get lost in the story. Every race is an opportunity to stand out and you’ve got to standout.

The No:1 Chevy driver spun out his No:99 Chevy teammate, resulting in the latter making revenge threats. Analysing this situation on NASCAR Inside the Race, Kyle Petty had a good argument regarding the beef.

He’s sideways… We used to see you get into the corner too quick. You used to see things happen. But he’s already stepped out, and he’s turning back to the left when he gets into Daniel Suárez.
Kyle Petty said via NASCAR Inside the Race.
He asserted that the media tried to manufacture a beef between the teammate and make a big story out of the situation, on social media. The ex-racer doesn’t see nothing more than yet another the racing incident that everyone should move on from.
To me, there were things that happened during this race, and there was a lot made out of it on TV, and a lot made out of it probably on Twitter, but honestly, it’s just racing. Things happen.
Kyle Petty added.
The arguments made by Kyle Petty are pretty strong and the racing community needs to take note of it. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout regarding the drama and the racing future for the racer in the coming years.
