Daniel Suarez and Julia Piquet Set to Welcome Their First Child

Spire Motorsports’ NASCAR veteran Daniel Suarez has revealed that he and wife Julia Piquet are pregnant with their first child.

The year of 2026 is keep getting more positive for Mexican-American racer Daniel Suarez. At the start of the season, there was a lot of uncertainty over the veteran as he was in a tough spot with new team Spire motorsports after he got released from Trackhouse Racing. His disappointing form and the noise around his exit also didn’t help the cause.

But Spire Motorsports didn’t let him down and the No:7 team has been one of the best Chevy’s of the year, with him currently sitting P16 in the championship table, eligible for the playoffs. Now the racers’ as well as his fans’ happiness has doubled, as the ex-NOAPS champion is set to become parents for the first time.

Suárez and his wife Julia Piquet, the daughter of Brazilian ex-F1 champion Nelson Piquet, shared an image on social media announcing their first pregnancy. The duo was seen wearing a black cap, with mom and dad written on it, with a special message in the caption.

The Trackhouse driver Daniel Suárez has been partners with Julia Piquet since 2019. They were acquaintance since 2012, as the racer was friends with Piquet’s brother Nelson Piquet Jr., who has had raced in both F1 and NASCAR.

Daniel Suarez is the third driver in his NASCAR friend group to become a father, as his close associates Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace have recently become dad’s as well. Suarez Jr. will be the latest addition to the kid’s club.

Ryan Blaney’s wife Gianna Tulio was one of the first to respond to the pregnancy announcement, commenting on the Instagram post made by the couple. She, congratulated the couple on the happy news.

Bubba Wallace’s wife Amanda Wallace also commented on the post from the Suarez couple. She shared her excitement about having another mom in her friend group. Mis. Wallace became a mother for the second time last month.

Daniel Suarez now has more motivation ever than to perform on a higher level in the 2026 Cup season. It would be interesting to see how becoming a dad is going to change the Spire driver as a person and as a racer in the coming days.
