Daniel Suarez reveals the big “mistake” that derailed his 2024 Cups season
Trackhouse Racing star driver Daniel Suarez has shared the mistakes that was made by his team in the 2024 Cup season.

The start of the 2025 Cup season was impressive for Trackhouse Racing’s Mexican American star driver Daniel Suarez. He won the second race of the season, at Atlanta, in a historic three car photo-finish and secured his place in the play-off early. But following the win, his form experienced a missive drop.
It took Daniel Suarez almost 20 races to get back to consistently finishing inside the top 10s and top 15, where Trackhouse should feature. Though he performed well in the start of the playoffs, it wasn’t enough to help him go past R-12. In a recent interview the No:99 Chevy driver talked about how important the early win for him was last year.

He feels that the absence of consistency in his 2024 season was big mistake he and the team made. Not securing enough stage points as well as good race finishes came to hurt him towards the end of the season.
Daniel Suarez highlights the importance having a balanced season
In the same conversation, Daniel Suarez shared his feelings about how balanced the 2024 should have been for him. He pointed out that though winning races early is good, its important to be competitive the whole race and balance
The comment from Suarez shows he understand the mistake he and his team made in the 2024 season, that came to bite him as the season progressed. He is hoping to learn from that mistake and get back to winning, as well as racing consistently, in 2025.
