The 2025 NASCAR Cup season marked a new beginning for the Xfinity Series broadcasting with CW taking over role. Its hasn’t been a solid start for them, owing to scheduling issues, technical difficulties and more. But one thing they got on point, was the broadcasters, with Kyle Busch’s appearance last week as Las Vegas Motor Speedway being the best example.
The two times Cup Series champion Kyle Busch called last weekend’s race at Vegas and almost everyone in the racing community was impressed. His ex-JGR teammate Denny Hamlin shared his feelings about it on his podcast and joked the that the veteran should quit racing because of the impressive job he did.
I want to give a shout-out to Kyle Busch. What a great job. He should quit racing…I thought he was good, man. He did really well. Really, really well.
Denny Hamlin said via Actions Detrimental.
The No:11 Toyota driver highlighted how CW has been receiving criticism for the coverage and play-by-play calls, but Kyle Busch’s presence was enough to change some of it. The RCR driver was so good, it felt like he was already part of the team for a long-time.
I know we’ve been giving CW flowers all year, their play-by-play and how they’re meshing, but I thought Kyle blended in there really well like he has been there for quite some time.
Denny Hamlin added.
NASCAR insider reveals the Kyle Busch factor that makes him special
Senior NASCAR Journalist Jeff Gluck has shared his feelings about the RCR veterans’ debut in the Xfinity Series broadcasting via The Teardown podcast. He pointed out that Busch, who is known for being pretty open in his conversations, is good fit for the job as he doesn’t care about hurting feelings and highlighted how the veteran calls things as it is.

He also has the Kyle Busch stuff where he doesn’t care what you think. He doesn’t care about hurting anybody’s feelings. He doesn’t care about trying to frame it up nicely. He’s just going in on it. He’s just saying, ‘No, this is how it is,’ and like you could get these glimpses.
Jeff Gluck said.
Further talking about it, Jeff Gluck imagined the potential seeing the veteran calling NASCAR Cup Series races. He pointed out that Busch calling things how he sees in the race will be really impressive for the sports.
Imagine if he’s in the cup booth every week and he sees somebody do something or whatever? He’s just going to call it out and not worry about it. I was just really, really impressed by that.
Jeff Gluck added.
Kyle Busch is the next NASCAR TV star
The co-host of The Teardown podcast, Jordan Bianchi also praised the former Xfinity Series champion fort his broadcasting performance. Seeing the flowless transition, he feels that the future Hall of Famer is going to be the next NASCAR TV star.

He feels like the next big NASCAR TV star. I’ll say this, we kind of knew this about Dale Earnhardt Jr. — we felt like towards the end of his career, it’s like, ‘Man, he’s going to get in TV booth. He’s done a few cameos. He’s going to be really, really good’ He got in and he did it. Made the transition rather flawlessly, and he’s very good.
Jordan Bianchi said.
If Busch retires and join the broadcasting crew alongside the likes of Kevin Harvick, that would be a special experience for the race fans. It would be interesting to see how the TV future of Kyle Busch is going to play out.
